The project operates in forest-rich ecoregions of Africa, Asia and Latin America: Congo Basin, Miombo woodlands, Amazon Basin, Mesoamerica and humid tropical forests of Southeast Asia. Research on local social and environmental impacts, and on legal, institutional and policy frameworks, is focused in two case study countries per region.
