Summary
1. Sustainable Forest Management from the Perspective
of Local Stakeholders: A Case Study from Bulungan Research Forest, Indonesia This
research was condusted to find out how different (local) stakeholders conceive
sustainable (or good) forest management and to gather knowledge from local stakeholders,
especially the local community, on what criteria and indicators they use to infer
sustainable forest management. 2. Adaptive Collaborative
Management of Forests in Indonesia (Progress Report) It
is expected that this research can contribute to the current debate over the future
of Indonesia's forests, in particular by creating opportunities for shared learning
aiming at increased control and management of forests by local communities. Two
sites have been selected i.e., Baru Pelepat Village, Jambi Province, and Rantau
Layung and Rantau Buta Village, East Kalimantan Province.
