Kristell Hergoualc’h is a scientist with CIFOR’s Forests and Environment Programme. She received her PhD in Ecosystems Functioning from SupAgro Montpellier, France. She has been working in the fields of climate change mitigation and biogeochemistry for over nine years in tropical countries around the world, such as Costa Rica and Indonesia. At CIFOR, she is focusing her research on how land-use change affects carbon stocks and fluxes of carbon dioxide and non-carbon-dioxide greenhouse gas fluxes.
